our Story

From fishing with ocean lures for 40 years, I decided to develop one.  The best lures resemble bait, so I decided to shape one like a small squid.  While fishing in the ocean, we all usually use two size of lures, number one a light surface lure, number two a heavy lure.

Deadhead lures™ does both. Light lures work great except if it’s windy.  You can’t cast far or under control and it causes tangles. My 4-ounce lure you can cast far with less tangles.  Also, you can fish it on the surface fast or slow and that can come in handy. The 6-ounce lure is perfect to drop to the bottom and jig or “Yoyo” as it’s called in some places.  You can also drop to the bottom and crank fast to the surface.  Both ways work well. So, both of my lures cover what’s needed to catch fish.

Deadhead lures are 100% powder coated so the paint stays on. The rings are stainless steel not to rust.  The hooks are 3X strong.  The lures are 100% zinc, no lead.

I’ve had fisherman have great success even in Australia for huge yellowtail and snappers.  Also, across the U.S. from Florida to California and in Mexico.  From red snapper, cobia, tuna, lingcod, rock cod, white sea bass.  All fish seem to hit this lure.
